The Untold Secrets of What it Takes to Make it As an Internet Marketer

The Untold Secrets of What it Takes to Make it As an Internet Marketer

Today, the internet is flooded with wannabe network marketers, internet marketers and social media spammers. Very few will actually make enough money to walk away from their careers and living the lifestyle they want.

There are untold secrets of what it takes to make it as an internet marketer. When you take away all of the hype and income claims that people spread over the internet on their capture pages, you are left with an even playing field.

The Three things that are going to separate you from the masses are Time, Money and a no quit attitude.

Time - Most people get started in internet marketing because they are looking for another way. Either they are living paycheck to paycheck, hate their job or simply know that their jobs wont provide the lifestyle they want and deserve. Folks who are trying to build an online business and are still working their day job have to work twice as hard. After a long day at the office, they get to come home and start their marketing efforts to grow their online business. For the person that does it full time, it takes them less time to succeed as they can pour more of their day into educating themselves and marketing activities.

Money - People who get involved in online businesses are going to have to realize that this is a real business and though it doesn't come with the overhead of traditional businesses, they are still going to have to invest. It costs money to develop read worthy blogs, advertising, etc. People see income claims of people in their first month pulling in $ 20K. What they don't see is that it took $ 5-$ 8K of advertising dollars through pay per click to bring in that kind of business. Wake up people. He with the bank roll will have a better chance of making money faster than he with no bankroll.

A No Quit attitude - When most get started in a venture, they just shake a stick at it and say to themselves, " I am going to give it 6 months and if it doesn't work, I will try something else or just concentrate on my JOB." Wrong attitude. If you plan on making it in anything, you have to decide that no matter what, your not going to quit. Do you make money if you quit your job? NOPE! This industry is long term and some make money quickly while others take a while to do it.

I know these things because I have been through the tests of time. I was formerly in MLM for 4 years with a prominent company that has been around for 50 years. I struggled because of the attrition rate. Fast forward, I got out of MLM and into top tier direct sales. The buy in to become a partner is thousands, but it pays thousands per sale. In MLM, you have to move so much product through your organization and need a ton of people to do it. I like it better getting paid off of my efforts and not the efforts of my team. While I still make 30% of my first levels sales, I like the 50% I make when I move a product. Imagine moving one product and making $ 1k, $ 5K or $ 7500? How many of those do you have to sell to have a $ 50K month? The answer is not too many.

Hopefully that shed some light on the situation.

What it Takes to Become a Successful Internet Marketer

What it Takes to Become a Successful Internet Marketer

This article is for anyone out there looking to get into the internet marketing industry and wondering what it takes to succeed. You may be surprised that it does not take any specific spectacular talent to become a successful internet marketer. In fact, many of today's successes in the industry came from various previous career situations (I was an aerospace engineer personally, and knew nothing about the industry before I began). Listed below are the four keys to successfully starting your internet marketing career.

Determination and Effort

This is going to be the main factor in determining whether you succeed or fail in this industry. Some people, regardless of how much training or how many tools you give them to succeed, will simply fail due to lack of effort. Set out from the beginning as if this is your new full-time job. Don't get into it just to make "a little extra money", and don't get into it thinking you're going to put in an hour or two of work in here and there and have it work out. Start as if this is your new full-time job. Set goals of what you want to achieve, and don't stop until you've reached them. It's understandable that some people looking to get into this line of work are currently employed in other full-time jobs, and can't put full-time effort into internet marketing, and that's fine. Work on your marketing part-time when you have the time, but keep the "full-time mindset", i.e. put consistent daily effort into your marketing efforts, not one or two hours every now and then whenever you feel like it. Success will not come over night. You can't quit when you're still struggling after a week or a month, or two months... or however long it takes. Keep pushing and you will succeed.

Now of course all of the above doesn't apply if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing, so you're going to need to be trained in marketing strategies. Ideally, whichever company you begin with will provide you with full training. Sure it's possible to train yourself through books, internet articles, or other products you might buy. However, having all your training resources in one place (i.e. your company website) will be much simpler than buying various resources and figuring things out on your own. It can also be very useful if your company provides you with a personal mentor you can speak to directly and who will answer your questions for you.

Reputable Company

I've put "reputable company" third, because if you know what you're doing, you can essentially market anything out there and make money. However, how are you going to figure out how to do this marketing? Likely through the training your company has provided you with. So, if you're a newbie marketer, join a reputable company that will tell you how to get started. Additionally, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable selling useless products, or products that are outright scams. There's lots of crap out there, so watch out for scam products.

You're going to need something to drive you to success, since you're essentially personally motivated, i.e. you don't have a boss telling you what to do, and you won't get fired if you don't work, you'll just go broke. Money is a great initial incentive, but over time you'll need more to keep you driven. Maybe you want to become a philanthropist or give back to your community? Write out a list of personal goals when you begin your marketing career, they will help to push you to succeed.

So to sum up, research any company you might be thinking of joining, and if you're new to the industry, ensure they'll provide you with full training. Also make sure you're ready to put in some serious effort and not give up when things get a little tough. Make a list of goals, and don't give up until you've achieved them.

Google Takes on Software King Microsoft

Google Takes on Software King Microsoft

The disturbing announcement, for Microsoft, came in the form of a blog post on Google's website on the 7th of July, whereby a plan to launch their new operating system named Chrome OS later this year had been revealed. This could be seen as a direct attack on Microsoft, with several key factors playing a role in the reason as to why this will soon become a fierce battle between the giant corps.

Microsoft's PC operating system has a total market share in the area of 90%, which brings in roughly half of its annual income at $ 11 billion annually. If Chrome OS is to disrupt this money flow, Microsoft will be looking to take serious action to make up the difference in other areas of the computing world, which in fact, is already the case.

Bing, a new search engine from Microsoft has been launched, which is now partnered with yahoo search in order to compete with Google. In this particular field, Google are the current champs with 65% of US market shares, with Microsoft climbing the ranks with 8.5% added together with yahoo's market share could take them up to a total of roughly 30%. This could majorly disrupt Google's main money making program, with $ 10 billion yearly revenue from search advertising at stake.

The list of competing products does not end here however, with YouTube vs. Msn being another. YouTube had been bought out by Google in 2006 for a sum of £1.65 billion, which is now offering branded channels and such to turn it into a profitable business. Msn also offers advertising, whereby Microsoft is taking a keen interest in TV commercials in the form of web video, as Google have a huge edge in this field.

Next on the list, is the e-mail. Microsoft's Hotmail have more than 300 million monthly users according to comScore. Advertisement revenue from this kind of traffic can be substantial, and so Google have now officially launched Gmail which has roughly 150 million users monthly, according to comScore. Google's E-mail platform will have many added features in the near future which could get the attention of many more e-mailers, particularly from the younger generation.

And still, it goes on. Facebook vs MySpace. Microsoft has purchased a small share of Facebook, with 250 million monthly active users, for a sum of $ 240 million, plus $ 150 million for advertising rights. Meanwhile, Google have made an agreement with Myspace in a search and advertising deal worth $ 900 million over a three year span. Myspace have 130 million active users on a monthly bases.

So it seems that Microsoft are still winning the fight as it stands at the moment, but Google still have some tricks. Chrome web browser, Google Docs and mobile phone operating systems. Also, Google have spent an outrageous amount of $ $ $ in acquiring a number of small companies, which will all be playing a role in the upcoming battle.

What it Takes to Create a Great Blog

What it Takes to Create a Great Blog

The making of a great blog doesn't have to be as difficult as you may think. There are so many great blogs that have been created and many more continue to grace the blogosphere.

So what does it take to come up with one? To many of us it seems building a blog many people will find useful may be a bit tricky. So what can I do to ensure that any blog I create will be successful?

Have the desire to solve a problem- It doesn't have to be big like world peace or even a guide that will help men understand women perfectly. Just come up with will improve the lives of potential readers. If you can help people become more fashionable, you can make a great fashion blogger. You can even blog about your town and help travelers and tourists understand it better. Just find a way to solve a problem.

Determination to see your blog up there- Deciding that you want to come up with a great blog is one thing, doing the work that propels it towards the summit is a different thing. Unless you are determined to succeed you will find posting frequently a challenge, marketing your blog a task you can do without and generally working on your blog will always be secondary to other priorities. Blogging as a hobby rarely makes a great blog, you need to be more professional about blogging.

Networking abilities- Remember success is about the people. And not just about people but people who matter. I am sure you have noticed how the so called A-class bloggers help each other launch new blogs, products etc. Knowing one of them can make things easier for you. If you associate with big people, we might assume you must be a big fish too. If we always see your guest posts on those blogs everybody looks up to chances are that we will think  you are either big, or on your way up there.

This three things are instrumental in making a great blog. Always think about them when starting a new blog and throughout your blogging life. Success will always be guaranteed.

Find Out What it Takes to Create Free Blogs

Find Out What it Takes to Create Free Blogs

In the early days, the Internet was considered as a great source of information and a great channel for people to keep in touch with each other. Now as technology advances in both connection speeds and web development, people who are connected online are doing more sophisticated activities such as online gaming, social networking, and blogging. Blogging is among the frequent activities of people online, because all kinds of individuals get into it whether it is for personal or business use.

There are still people who don?t blog because they think that blogs cost money to maintain or require a paid professional to develop. It is true that many of the popular blogs are hosted in servers that require uptime fees. But those blogs are usually the big ones that have millions of visitors a month and most of the money is paid to put up with the bandwidth so the site stays online.

For personal blogs and starters, Free Blogs are available and there are several options to get one. Here are some of the ways to create some Free Blogs.

Blog Publishing Systems

These online services are normally the first place people visit because blogging is their main service. Leading blog publishing websites offer a free sub-domain upon registering so there Is no worry of advertising with concerns of people forgetting the address. The entire blog engine complete with administration panel is there and some of the advanced features may require a fee. There are several templates to choose from and usually blogging can be started as soon as the account is created. The advantage of this method of creating Free Blogs is that ease of it being indexed since the blog is located in the main domain.

Social Networking Sites

Social networking is all the rage these days because you can easily link to people that you know or do not know and once the links are established, content is shared and synchronized so that others are up to date with your actions within the site. This includes blogs as well since many of the social networking sites allow you to start a blog. This is great for a personal blog since there are various settings to control who has access to it. The options and templates available may not be as flexible to the ones in blog publishing systems, but they still do the core function which is to allow entries to be posted and comments to be made by others.

Web Hosting Services

There are very few web hosting services that allow blogs because blogs rely on a scripting language and a database to function. Most of the free hosts only support static websites, but there are few that support some languages and may even have one-click installers to incorporate the blog for free.

This gives you the most flexibility since you can upload templates or use custom ones or even put advertisements if allowed. The bandwidth and speed may be limited when using hosting a blog on a free web hosting service. Free blogs aren?t hard to create and the millions of people that have a blog prove how easy it is to set up a blog, and even decorate it to their personal taste.
