Signs of a bottom

Signs of a bottom
Everyone wants to find the bottom of the stock market so they can make huge returns and be looked at as a genius. But often times the only way you can tell when a bottom is, is after the fact. There are some signs that you can look at however to determine if the bottom is coming.

1. No one believes it

One of the best signs of a bottom historically has been when no one believes they are at a bottom. Everyone hears bad news and has some reason why the markets will keep falling. But remember the stock market is a forward looking instrument.

Stocks could start trending up 6 months or more before we see any recovery in the actual economy.

2. Stocks Stop Falling

Of course before stocks can start to go up again the first thing we need is for them to stop falling. When the markets start stabilizing again that is normally a good sign that the worst is over and we may see stocks start heading up again.

This can take a long time, it isn’t that stocks just start going up all of a sudden, but they normally take some time to cool off first.

3. Leaders emerge

Often times a few of the strongest stocks will start trending higher. When those stocks start heading up it is normally a sign that other stocks will follow their lead, but not always the case. Of course the stocks that recover the fastest might make higher returns than the market. I wouldn’t mind getting into them as long as I cut my losses short if I’m wrong.

4. Reversal Patterns

Normally the bottom of the market is marked by a reversal pattern like the heads and shoulders or the double bottom. These patterns aren’t always accurate, but they are worth looking at. Of course there is no way to tell for sure whether we are at a bottom or not, but these are the signs that typically form when the end is near.

Retractable Banner Signs

Retractable Banner Signs
The retractable banner has become an essential part of successful, sales producing displays at conventions and exhibits across corporate America. Trade show displays must capture the attention of potential clients, and create a visceral empathetic reaction that leads to a strong connection and long term business relationship.

You and your company have invested valuable time, research and resources creating the perfect logo, and the cutting edge ads and graphics that will make customers stop and want to learn more. These retractable advertising banners need to be displayed with the same professional care and competitive zeal as you used to produce the ads and graphics in the first place.

Retractable banners, also known as roll up exhibit displays, are perfect for this vital assignment. Although the striking visuals of the strategically located and set up display banner is the main attraction, it is certainly not the only one. Retractable advertising signs are easy and fast to set up, helping to define those ten feet of space as definitively yours. Unsnap the base, extend the pole, raise the vinyl banner and become the instant focus of attention. Often, one person is the sole representative of a company at a trade show--one person is all it takes to quickly and smoothly set up the attention grabbing advertisement with these unique tools. Let the other, unprepared poor souls fumble with tacks, nails, wire and tape.

Let the competition also suffer with inadequate graphic design and installation services. You're the confident pro. Once the portable billboard has drawn attention to your products and services with full color, vivid, customized graphics, the prospect will be ready for the close.

High quality retractable banner stands also serve to protect the valuable branded standards when they are not in use, and make simple the task of transport and carry as well as set up and take down, protecting your investment and lowering the cost of your advertising campaign over time. These new essentials of modern corporate signage are also perfect for any retail display, and a growing feature of notable weddings, graduations, and milestone anniversaries.

They are especially well suited to give a professional polish to fraternal organizations, clubs, religious organizations, and political groups. These signs are perfect for politicians and tea parties alike. Everybody uses the old fashion signs on a stick or the familiar "Vote For Me" signs whose legs you push into the grass. When an elected official or a candidate goes to an event, he should have a large, vivid, and multi-colored battle standard, with his logo, name and message. Most candidates and elected officials make the rounds of constituent meetings with just one assistant. The simplicity of design makes a retractable banner perfect for those who are always on the road.

Kaiser International is an established sign company that makes quality banners of all kinds for every occasion and purpose, as well as retractable banner(s) .

Glutes And Signs

Glutes And Signs

Hey there! I hope you are continuing to make yourself better and that you are waking up each morning with a new sense of awe and gratefulness! Once again, we will tackle two issues with one edition.

Have you ever taken the time to look at some older people and notice that they literally seem to have no back side? Seriously, check it out. Not that I expect grandpa to start lunging up and down the driveway with 135 pounds on his back, but there is a clue that we can take from examining the older population. Many older people have stability issues, back problems and mobility issues. I know that resistance training /fitness was not a big part of that generation's culture, but we can use this information to assist ourselves. I can guarantee that if some of the older people had better developed glutes, they would see a world of difference and many of the above issues would be non-existent or at least reduced. When I say better developed, I don't mean that our goal should be to have a big protruding backside, but rather, we must be able to use them and get maximum recruitment of those muscles via the nervous system. The glutes are the master stabilizers of the entire body. Many tissue ailments can be traced to them including knee and back problems. The body is a complex chain of muscles and if our main stabilizers don't work, any point in that chain can feel the effects. Once again, watch some older people walk and notice that they rely totally on their quadriceps to move and that is one the reasons they don't have proper stability and move rather slowly. I am not saying all people are like this, but there are enough that we can use reverse biomechanics to come up with the solution. So, be sure to started adding in bridges, lunges in different planes of motion and deep dumbbell squats to name a few good exercises for development of the glutes.

Okay, for the second part of this edition, I would like to talk about SIGNS that are all around us. One of my favorite movies is SIGNS with Mel Gibson directed by M. Knight Shyamalan. If you haven't seen the movie, it is about signs that are present every day the fact that there are no coincidences. Whether you believe this or not is up to you, but you have to admit that it is an interesting way to look at life. To take a different approach to signs around us, try and notice how many great things we can use as tools to see the beauty in our lives. Too many of us focus on the bad and as we know what we focus on expands. What made me think of this topic was my neighbor. My neighbor happens to be a pastor and I always make a point to say hello to him. The other morning I said hello and he "responded, "Hello, do you have a good life?" So simple, yet so meaningful. By this simple question he made me think about it. I said yes of course but the rest of the day I remembered this encounter. We all have a good life and we all have troubles. Are those troubles going to mean anything when we are on our death bed? Most likely not. So take some time to ask yourself this question in the morning. Wake up with a smile rather than an "Oh no, not again!" You will notice a big difference in a few weeks by taking a different view of your life and noticing the signs around you.

Look For Warning Signs of a Break-up

Look For Warning Signs of a Break-up

Dont Be Blindsided. Look for warning signs of a break-up.

As much as you may want this relationship to work, you might be seeing some warning signs of a break-up looming in the shadows. You might be able to save it and at the worst you might just be prepared for it if you start looking for the signs and know what to look for. There are many things that may be indicating that a break up is right around the corner.

One thing that you might find yourself doing is walking on eggshells. If there has been any change or added tension in the air and you feel like you have to tread carefully with every word you say or action you take, then things might be getting bad. It may even be that they are starting to get easily angered and will blow up with the slightest provocation. Be sure that you don't stick around if it at all turns violent.

If you seem to notice an increase in the amount of criticisms coming your way that may also be a sign. Where there used to be nothing but praise, now there is nothing but critical remarks. It could be that you are doing everything wrong, but more likely it is that they are now looking at you through a set of lenses that sees you in a negative light for some reason. They begin to see you in a negative light. It might be they are looking for reasons to justify their desire to leave. Whatever you do, don't let this affect your self-esteem. It isn't you, it's them and there is probably nothing that you can do to change their perception.

Sometimes you will notice a difference in the way affection is shown to you. It could be anything from hugs with a pat on the back or a less attention paid to kissing. You will notice that the little love gestures that were so prevalent earlier are no longer there. There is less hand holding, less winks from across the room, and more space in between the two of you on the couch. Every relationship will go through phases where there is a little less affection shown, but when it is combined with other warning signs you might have trouble.

If your lover has a new group of friends that they are spending time around, it could mean trouble for your relationship. It could mean that they are now looking for some big changes in their life. You might be the next one so you will need to keep an eye on this. Sometimes it could be something resembling a mid life crisis and in many instances it could be that this new group of friends is having a negative influence on your partner and encouraging them to leave. Your love might get the feeling that you are holding them back. Again, don't take this personally as it has more to do with a phase that they are going through. It will affect you personally, but it isn't your fault.

Breaking up is not a fun thing, but it is a part of life for most people. Don't let yourself be blindsided by a break up. Keep an eye out for warning signs of a break up and you might be able to stop it from happening. At the very least you will be more prepared for it.

Break Up Warning Signs - Save Your Relationship From a Break Up

Break Up Warning Signs - Save Your Relationship From a Break Up

If you suspect that your partner is about to break up with you then you must heed the break up warning signs before it's too late. If your gut is telling you something is not quite right in your relationship then you must turn things around and save your relationship before it's too late.

Common Warning Signs

1. Constantly Arguing And Bickering
If you are fighting and arguing constantly, chances are that these fights escalate where both you and your partner say and do things that you might not mean. Not only are these moments difficult to deal with on their own but they quickly manifest into larger problems.

Constantly arguing is a sign that your partner is frustrated with your relationship, whether it is a communication problem or deep nested issues, you must do your best to keep your emotions in check when talking to your partner.

2. Your Partner Seems Distant
One of the most common break up reasons given is the "we have grown apart" response. If you find that your partner is increasingly distant it maybe a sign that they are wondering whether or not your relationship is worth continuing.

Communication is the heart of all successful relationships, make sure your partner knows that they can talk to you even if they feel that putting all their cards on the table may upset you. Save your relationship by making it know that you would like your partner to be completely honest with you.

3. Less Physically Contact
If you find that physically contact between you and your partner has taken a nose dive it maybe a break up warning sign that your partner is not happy in your relationship and a break up maybe on the cards. While most couples wont have the intensity they had for one another after the "honeymoon" period, if your partner is making excuses to avoid contact it's time to take action before it's too late.

Don't wait until you lose your partner before you take action! Save your relationship today with the help of others who have been where you are right now.

Signs for Success

Signs for Success

In 1971 The Five Man Electrical Band was belting out their famous, anti-establishment hit, Signs. I was 5-years old, and smaller than a peanut, but I remember my parents belting out the lyrics:

Sign Sign everywhere a sign

Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind

Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign

Hearing the song again this morning got me thinking about the role of signs in delivering great customer service. Part of “hitting the Grand Slam” and putting the thrill back into customer service is to Greet Customers Sincerely. Does the greeting include signs? Absolutely!

Signs can be a great way to welcome your customers, or an instant turn-off if they convey the wrong message. Everybody remembers, “No shirts, no shoes, no service.” In this era when customers evaluate us at every turn a message like that does not work. Below are 3 tips on creating signs that truly welcome our customers.

•Start welcoming customers when they come into your establishment. The greeting should start in the parking lot. At my wine stores in Chicago there was a sign above the entrance that stated: “Thank you for choosing Sam’s.” We’re not talking brain surgery, but our customers thought it was a nice touch.

•Re-write all your signs to have a more positive tone: Do you remember those dreaded signs in urban lots that say how you will all but lose your first born if you park there? Re-write those signs! Make them positive!

I realize that some messages are inherently negative (like a towing sign!), but those signs can have a more positive tone, and so can your check writing policy. Instead of the title, “Check Policy” have a sign that says, “Yes! You can write checks. Please supply the following ID…..” Believe it or not, I’ve seen many businesses where simple changes like this can make for a happy, bustling store and workplace.

•Make the letters bigger, not smaller:Do you need reading glasses to read the signs at your favorite store? Signs are usually very difficult to read. As a start, read Paco Underhill’s great book Why People Buy. There are a few things to keep in mind when designing signs. First, use big print. The population (and me, especially) is aging rapidly. Second, place your signs where your customers can really see them - below the chest and above the knees. Third, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that tons of writing equals an effective sign. Some of the greatest print ads in history have had very little print. Most customers only give your sign two seconds. If you don’t grab them, then they’re off in the next instant, thinking about something else.

Remember, it is little things that count and count and add up to success that make customers happy and keep them coming back. That first customer touch point, your signs, is vitally important. It is the beginning of the game (to use a baseball analogy, and the team that scores in the first inning has the best chance of winning the game.

New Walgreens Neon Signs Spruce Up Corner

New Walgreens Neon Signs Spruce Up Corner
So I'm noticing more and more the distinct use of neon signs, almost everywhere I go. It's as though the use of neon signs have really added something visually interesting to an otherwise run-of-the-mill stand or retail building.

A neon sign sits right at the heart of any successful advertising techniques and enlivens a shopping place at night. The brilliant and energetic shades of these open signs make it easier for business shops such as restaurants, motels, and night clubs, gambling houses, malls and even Automatic teller machines to spark the attention and draw in a bunch of customers. A neon sign is constructed from lengthy glass pipes stuffed with neon and other inert gases at low pressure. Whenever high voltage is applied to these gases, it causes them to glow brightly and illuminate the night sky over a busy shopping place.

I am a big fan of the bright effect of LED message boards and neon. Los Angeles' history is full of neon splendor from Broadway in Downtown Los Angeles to Hollywood and Beverly Hills. But many of the tastefully artistic, if not commercially inclined, neon signs that once graced grand movie palaces or posh hotels have burned out long ago with those establishments slowing being brought back to life again as a new generation has begun to see their intrinsic aesthetic qualities with the colorful illuminated gas tubes contorted and shaped into myriad designs that never fail to capture the evening attention.

Neon lights are colorful and vibrant in nature. This visual medium meets local marketing needs and consequently helps increase customers and business. In relation to retail and multinational businesses, wholesale neon light purchases prove to be favorable. Customers searching for neon signs may approach local and online stores or find neon sign manufacturing locations through the yellow pages.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a local Walgreens go beyond just installing their conventional signs attached to the store's facade by adding a neon sign post at the entrance of the parking lot. I wondered if this was a requirement from the city for Walgreens to incorporate some form of art. Nevertheless, the neon sign really does add a nice touch to the corner and accomplishes its intention by adding a fun and tastefully artistic piece to the neighborhood while attracting night time business from those who drive or walk by.

One fact remains true over everything else. The all new LED Board is the newest and most innovated form of marketing, selling, making announcements, etc. The list goes on and on and I can't wait to see what they think of next.

Street Signs

Street Signs

Streets signs' refers to signs put up on street sides for indicating street names, road signs, traffic signs, parking prohibitions, directions, maps, and other information. Street signs are put up on elevated spots so that they are clearly visible. Individuals also require street signs to put up personal advertisements or name and address of their house for easy location by the mail delivery personnel. However, putting up personal signs requires permission from the government authority prior to its installation.

They are available in various materials such as metal, wood, aluminum and other such materials. Traditionally, materials such as wood was used to make sign boards for street signs. These days, street signs are made out of metals. There are engineer-grade reflective street signs and signboards made of .08-inch thick aluminum, which are fairly popular. These signs usually do not rust, and normally have an average life span of 7 years or more. They are ordered by the State and Federal D.O.T. specifications and are very commonly used by cities nationwide. It is important to use the specific hardware designed especially for flat street name signs.

There are non-reflective street signs, which prove to be more economical but are effective only during daytime. They are sprayed with polyester powder, which is coated with paint and then are parched on. These signs are resistant to rust. The text is lettered with high performance vinyl. These signs are considered the best options where reflectivity is not required. They can be easily installed on round, square or "U" channel posts. Street signs also require special brackets that are easily found in hardware stores.

Many websites provide individuals information relating to the different street signs. Individuals as well as businesses can opt to buy these signs as per requirements. It is highly advised to buyers that they preserve the proof of the purchase to confirm its legality. Individuals can also order for these street signs online.
