Six Sigma and B2B - Selling Points

Six Sigma and B2B - Selling Points

Sales force effectiveness is not about simply automating the process - it also involves connecting process to winning over customers. This is true even in case of B2B sales where winning business customers can bring in huge profits with increased credibility.

Sales Start With Customers

When companies plan for improvement in sales results, they often introduce automation of the process or implement CRM. CRM is useful, but it is not the only solution.

From the customer's perspective, if salespeople are able to satisfy requirements, it can mean great improvement in sales results. To achieve improvement, the value that is given to the customer should be the value that they see.

For customers, there are items that are a must have, some which may be expected but which the product may not have, and some that are unexpected and thus are delighters.

By using Six Sigma tools like VOC to get an understanding of customer needs, companies can provide value that the customer expects, as well as understand and try to provide that which delights them.

Six Sigma DMAIC To Improve Relationships

Six Sigma can directly impact sales results if companies are disciplined in focusing what is of value to customers in the buying process.

It is about understanding the needs of the customer when they make that crucial buying decision.

Define: The define phase involves convincing key customers and stakeholders to work on the project.

The involvement of sales staff, sales managers, the sales support team and service personnel is just as important as key customers. It is imperative to define the focus of the project using a scope diagram, which will guide the team to focus on that specific area.

Rather than a huge project, a specific area or product can be taken for consideration.

Measure: The collection of data from customers is more important in understanding the critical to quality (CTQs) areas in this process.

Customer loyalty has a big impact on sales results and needs to be inferred - and factors that affect it should be understood. Keep in mind and collect data from loyal customers, disloyal as well as prospective ones.

A study of prospective customers helps companies to understand the reasons or factors affecting customer decisions if they have not been converted to sales as well as to understand the effectiveness of salespeople.

An insight into customer responses can be achieved by interviewing salespeople.

Analyze: An analysis using different tools of the responses of customers with that of the feedback received from salespeople can be great help.

Cross-referencing helps determine the root causes affecting sales results.

Improve: This stage involves making improvements to the sales process, like changing a pricing strategy that may be a major factor affecting sales.

It could also involve reorganizing sales functions, as well as training the sales force to improve their skills.

Control: In this stage, changes start showing results - and to sustain them, a review of activities has to be undertaken. This may include analyzing the number of proposals, active leads, customer loyalty, revenue, and profitability achieved with a changing price structure.

This is a bit like going back to the basics - but it proves to be very helpful in improving sales results. The outside-in approach helps bring about sustainable growth.

What is a Blog? - Three Points of View

What is a Blog? - Three Points of View

When pondering the question "What is a blog?" one can come up with a variety of answers. Personally I believe that there are three different perspectives to be considered when answering that question. I believe the answer has to be considered from the technical perspective, from the societal perspective, and from the personal perspective. The answer to the question of what a blog is is obviously going to be different depending on what perspective you're approaching the question from. Today we will look at each of the three.

What is a blog from the technical perspective? Technically a blog is simply a webpage. It was designed by software developers to use as a journaling type of software. Software people need to keep notes and share the information with each other and the origins of the blog were based on the decision to share that information via the Internet. Traditional webpages require a lot of overhead and coding to make even minor changes so developers came up with what they called a web log that basically took a template for all the standard web information and only require that you update the content. So technically a blog is just a webpage.

What is a blog from a societal perspective? It is no understatement to say that blogs have been an absolute revolution of the information age. Blogs allow people of every background, education level, race, creed, color, and belief system to publish their thoughts, their points of view, and their contribution to society. Some people even claim that blogs are hugely responsible for making possible the election of the first black president in United States history. I personally did not follow any of the blogging activity related to that specific event but with what I know about the power of blogs it is certainly a possibility. Blogs have had that kind of impact on our society.

What is a blog from a personal perspective? If a person has a genuine passion for a particular subject and creates a blog about it, that person is sharing his perspective, his opinion, and his beliefs with the world. That person is allowing the world to interact with them. The person blogging about a subject dear to their heart finds an outlet for their voice and often finds a lot of feedback coming back that will either validate or challenge their belief system. Oftentimes in life much of the information that we receive is filtered through the people we're surrounded by. Blogging allows a person to break free of those restrictions and plug-in directly with like-minded or otherwise minded people.

Import Points If You Want To Register Your Golden

Import Points If You Want To Register Your Golden
If you are considering purchasing or have already purchased an akc golden retriever congratulations! I know of no other dog that is as well rounded in its skills, agility, intelligence and manner than a golden retriever.

There are lots of smart dogs out there, lots of agile dogs, lots of intelligent and skilled dogs, but few combine all of these things with such an easy and sweet personality as the AKC Golden Retriever.

The AKC Golden Retriever is superb family dog, assuming you dont want a watchdog, and an excellent companion overall. This dog is easy to train, loves to play, love kids and craves the attention that a family typically heaps on any dog.

You should ask yourself, however, if a purebred is really what you need? Aside form the premium you will pay, is it really necessary to bring another dog onto the planet? If you are planning to show the dog or get sophisticated obedience training and perform with him or her in AKC shows, then you need a purebred. If you want a kind and gentle family dog, then a trip to the shelter would be worth your while.

Assuming, however, for whatever reason you have decided on a purebred akc golden retriever there are some things you should know. First of all, you need to be aware that in order for you to be sure you have an eligible purebred, the parents and the litter must be eligible purepreds. The breeder you are using must actually register the litter that your pup come from with the AKC.

Also, the person you bought your Golden from must provide you with an application for registration specific to your dog. Dont panic if they cant provide this right away, you will eventually need it but sometimes it can take the breeder a little while to get it ready. There is however a checklist of things you need to make sure you can register your AKC Golden Retriever puppy.

The seller needs to give you in writing a bill of sale with the identification of your dog on it in full. He or she must also provide the following in writing as part of the bill of sale:

-a clear indication of the breed
-birth date of your akc golden retriever
-the sex of the pup
-coloring and markings
-the registration details of sire and dam (male & female)
-the AKC litter number - you cannot register with AKC without this.
-the name of the breeder
-breeders signature
-and the date on the invoice

Its very important that you get all of this in writing. Your breeder may not have everything ready the day you pick up for your pup, but be sure you get this things in writing so as to be sure you are dealing with an AKC golden retriever, a purebred and one that can be registered.

Your choice of breeder or seller is also very important. If you have done some research ahead of time odds are you have found someone you trust. Still, its best to remain formal and ask for the things you need. There can be no misunderstanding and you wont be disappointed when you attempt to register your pup.

Bear in mind also, the AKC requires your pup be registered within 12 months of the litter being registered. So if you plan to show your purebred with the AKC, its best to get the registration done as soon as possible, again to avoid disappointment and possible hefty late fees.

No all thats left to do is train your puppy properly and start to think about which shows and events you may wish to show her in.

Article Writing - Do Not Submit Your Articles Without Checking These 3 Points

Article Writing - Do Not Submit Your Articles Without Checking These 3 Points

Article writing is a popular way to build your reputation and bring traffic to your site. However, if your articles are not effective, you cannot expect to get great results. So never submit your articles on the internet without checking the following 3 points.

1. Pitch: In the game of baseball, you have to throw the ball just at the right spot. You cannot be too high or too low. Similarly in the art of article writing, you must pitch your content just at the right level. You cannot be too broad or too narrow. If you are too broad, you will not be useful. Chances are that the reader will already know what you are writing about because many other authors have already educated him.

As an expert you need to provide a little more in-depth information for the reader to solve his problems. On the other hand, you need to take the other extreme position of making things too narrow. Avoid highly technical terms which the reader is not required to understand. Make your article simple to read and easy to understand. Also keep the article short and limited to one aspect of the topic. Write multiple articles to cover different aspects.

2. Punch: There are over a million articles written by over 170,000 authors in ezinearticles.com, the most popular article directory on the internet. When you add your drop of article in this ocean, you need to ensure that it is visible to all, that it stands out from the rest. One way is to make your title very attractive. Compose it in such a manner that the reader will be forced to click on it to read further.

Another way is to write an attractive excerpt. Many directories will allow you to write a short summary for your article. Most writers simply use the first paragraph as the excerpt but the first paragraph might not be the best summary for your article. So to make things more attractive, create a special summary for your articles.

3. Plagiarism: What is the point of writing something that is copied from another? If you are a real expert in your subject, you will never copy anything from anyone. You can surely research content from the internet to get ideas but finally, you must write the article in your own words.

Many articles are available on a PLR basis but then what is the point of using an article which hundreds of other authors are also going to call it their own. It is a good practice to use sites like copyscape.com and tools like DupeFree Pro to check your content for plagiarism before submitting. If you are getting articles written for you by freelancers, then make sure you get all the rights of the articles in your name.
